Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (gene IGFBP1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 27.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30 kDa.
IGFBP-1 is a secreted insulin-like growth factor binding protein produced mainly by the liver and by decidualized endometrium. It binds IGF-1 and IGF-2 and controls their access to receptors, with levels acutely regulated by insulin and nutritional state, and it can also signal through integrin α5β1 to promote cell migration.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human U87 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
