Product Overview
Clone 22I68 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (gene IGFBP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 27.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
IGFBP-1 is a secreted insulin-like growth factor binding protein produced mainly by the liver and by decidualized endometrium. It binds IGF-1 and IGF-2 and controls their access to receptors, with levels acutely regulated by insulin and nutritional state, and it can also signal through integrin α5β1 to promote cell migration.
