Product Overview
Clone 19I49 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 2 (gene IGFBP2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 34.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
IGFBP-2 is a secreted insulin-like growth factor binding protein that controls the availability of IGF-1 and IGF-2 to their receptors. It is abundant in cerebrospinal fluid and during development, has IGF-independent effects on signaling, and is studied in metabolism, obesity and cancer biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human T-47D cells, human MDA-MB-453 cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:1000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue, human lung squamous cells carcinoma tissue, human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
