Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets immunoglobulin superfamily member 11 (gene IGSF11) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 46.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
IGSF11 (also called BT-IgSF or VSIG3) is a cell adhesion molecule of the immunoglobulin superfamily that mediates homophilic cell-cell contacts. It is expressed in brain and testis and has been reported to stimulate cell growth, but its functions are still being characterized.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A549 cells, human K562 cells, rat kidney tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human IGSF11 fragment (Gln69–Arg378), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 91.3% and 91%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places immunoglobulin superfamily member 11 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Abundantly expressed in testis and ovary and to a lower extent in brain, kidney and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
