Product Overview
Clone GOD-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit alpha (gene CHUK) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 84.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
IKKα (CHUK) is a serine kinase of the IκB kinase complex that controls NF-κB signaling. Within the canonical IKK complex it phosphorylates IκB inhibitors, and on its own it drives the non-canonical pathway by processing p100 to p52; it also has roles in epidermal differentiation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human A375 cells, human Daudi cells, rat liver tissue, rat lung tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:5000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human IKK alpha.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit alpha in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
