Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects interleukin-12 subunit beta (gene IL12B) in human and mouse samples and is validated for ELISA and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 37.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
IL12B encodes the p40 subunit shared by interleukin-12 (with p35) and interleukin-23 (with p19). IL-12 promotes Th1 responses and IFN-γ production, while IL-23 supports Th17 responses, which makes p40 central to studies of cellular immunity and inflammatory disease.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse NIH3T3 cells, human A549 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human IL12B fragment (Ile23–Glu253), expressed in E. coli.
