Product Overview
Clone 31I11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-26 (gene IL26) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 19.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 25 kDa.
Interleukin-26 (IL-26) is an IL-10 family cytokine expressed by Th17 cells and some other lymphocytes; it has no ortholog in mice. It activates STAT1 and STAT3 in epithelial cells and induces pro-inflammatory mediators such as TNF and IL-8, and it is studied in mucosal immunity and chronic inflammatory conditions.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 1:500–1:2000 |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): His-tagged IL26 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human IL26.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes interleukin-26 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in HVS transformed T-cells but not other T-cell lines or primary stimulated T-cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
