Product Overview
Clone AADD-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-4 (gene IL4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 17.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 15 kDa.
Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a key type 2 cytokine made by Th2 cells, mast cells, basophils and eosinophils. Signaling through IL-4Rα paired with either the common gamma chain or IL-13Rα1, it activates JAK–STAT6 to drive Th2 differentiation, B-cell class switching to IgE and alternative macrophage activation. It is a core readout in allergy and parasite immunity studies.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
