Product Overview
Clone 24I96 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes inhibin beta B chain (gene INHBB) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 45.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 52 kDa.
Inhibin beta B (INHBB) forms the homodimer activin B and, together with the alpha subunit, inhibin B. Activin B is a TGF-β family ligand that signals through activin receptors and SMAD2/3, while inhibin B, made by Sertoli and granulosa cells, feeds back to suppress pituitary FSH release. It is studied in reproductive biology and metabolism.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse brain.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human inhibin beta B.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes inhibin beta B chain as a secreted protein. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
