Product Overview
Clone GEB-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes integrin alpha-2 (gene ITGA2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 129.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 165 kDa.
Integrin alpha-2 (ITGA2, CD49b) pairs with integrin beta-1 to form a major collagen receptor on platelets, epithelial cells and fibroblasts. It supports platelet adhesion to exposed collagen, cell migration and collagen matrix remodeling, and CD49b is also used as a marker of certain NK and T cell subsets.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat lung tissue, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 8% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:1000 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon cancer tissue, human pancreas tissueICC/IF:.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
