Product Overview
Clone IHH-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes integrin alpha-4 (gene ITGA4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 114.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa.
Integrin alpha-4 (ITGA4, CD49d) pairs with beta-1 to form VLA-4 and with beta-7 to form α4β7. These receptors bind VCAM-1, fibronectin and MAdCAM-1, guiding leukocyte adhesion to blood vessel walls and homing to inflamed tissue and the gut. Alpha-4 integrins are established targets in studies of leukocyte trafficking and inflammation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human integrin alpha 4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places integrin alpha-4 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
