Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets integrin alpha-6 (gene ITGA6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 126.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 127 kDa.
Integrin alpha-6 (ITGA6, CD49f) pairs with beta-1 or beta-4 to form receptors for laminins. The α6β4 form is a core component of hemidesmosomes that anchor epithelial cells to the basement membrane, and CD49f is widely used as a marker of stem and progenitor cells in epithelial and hematopoietic research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A431 cells, human A549 cells, rat kidney tissue, mouse kidney tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places integrin alpha-6 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Integrin alpha-6/beta-4 is predominantly expressed by epithelia. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
