Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects integrin alpha-9 (gene ITGA9) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 114.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 120 kDa.
Integrin alpha-9 (ITGA9) pairs with integrin beta-1 to bind ligands such as tenascin-C, VCAM-1 and osteopontin. It is needed for normal lymphatic valve development, and it contributes to cell adhesion, migration and neutrophil function.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A549 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): SH-SY5Y cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Integrin alpha-9/ITGA9 fragment (Gln526–Gln1035), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 89.6%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places integrin alpha-9 in the membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
