Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets interferon regulatory factor 2 (gene IRF2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 39.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 39 kDa.
Interferon regulatory factor 2 (IRF2) is a transcription factor that binds the same DNA elements as IRF1 in interferon and interferon-inducible genes. It mainly acts as a repressor that balances IRF1 activity, but it can also activate certain genes, and it is studied in immune regulation and cell growth control.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places interferon regulatory factor 2 in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed throughout the epithelium of the colon. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
