Product Overview

Clone ABII-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (gene IRAK1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 76.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 77 kDa.

IRAK1 (interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase recruited to MyD88 after Toll-like receptor or IL-1 receptor activation. Once phosphorylated by IRAK4, it binds TRAF6 to drive NF-κB and MAPK signaling, so it is a key node in innate immune and inflammatory responses.

Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200
Immunoprecipitation 1:20

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human IRAK.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are ubiquitously expressed in all tissues examined, with isoform 1 being more strongly expressed than isoform 2. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Q.Which applications is this antibody validated for, and at what dilution?
A.Validated applications with suggested starting dilutions: Western blot 1:500–1:2000; Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200; Immunoprecipitation 1:20. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory.
Q.Which species does this antibody react with?
A.Validated reactivity: Human. Other species are not listed by the supplier.
Q.What band size should be expected in Western blot?
A.Reported by the supplier: calculated molecular weight 76.5 kDa; observed band at about 77 kDa.
Q.What immunogen was used to raise this antibody?
A.Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human IRAK.
Q.How should this antibody be stored?
A.Long term: −20 °C for up to 12 months. Frequent use: 4 °C for up to 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
