Product Overview
Clone GHI-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interferon regulatory factor 5 (gene IRF5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 56.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 56 kDa.
Interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF5) is a transcription factor activated downstream of endosomal Toll-like receptors TLR7, TLR8 and TLR9 via MyD88. It induces type I interferons and inflammatory cytokines and promotes inflammatory macrophage polarization, and genetic variants of IRF5 are associated with systemic lupus erythematosus.
