Product Overview
Clone ADOH-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin-like protein ISG15 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 17.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 15 kDa.
ISG15 is a ubiquitin-like protein strongly induced by type I interferons. It is attached to many target proteins through an E1–E2–E3 enzyme cascade (ISGylation) and can also act in free form, including as a secreted signal. ISG15 is a standard marker of interferon responses and is studied in antiviral immunity.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human ISG15.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes ubiquitin-like protein ISG15 as secreted and also located in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in lymphoid cells, striated and smooth muscle, several epithelia and neurons. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
