Product Overview
Clone 17J22 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein jagged-1 (gene JAG1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 133.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 180 kDa.
Jagged-1 (JAG1) is a cell surface ligand for Notch receptors. By contacting Notch on neighboring cells, it drives cell fate decisions in the heart, blood vessels, liver bile ducts, inner ear and hematopoietic system. Mutations in JAG1 cause Alagille syndrome, and it is a standard target in Notch signaling research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): rat liver tissue, human lung large cells cancer tissue, human squamous carcinoma tissue, human kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein jagged-1 in the membrane and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues.
