Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects C-Jun-amino-terminal kinase-interacting protein 4 (gene SPAG9) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 146.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 190 kDa.
JNK-interacting protein 4 (SPAG9, also called JIP4 or JLP) is a scaffold protein that assembles components of the MAPK cascade to support JNK and p38 signaling. It also links lysosomes and endosomes to the dynein-dynactin motor, helping position lysosomes and move membranes along microtubules.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human PC-3 cells, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human JLP/SPAG9 fragment (Ala281–Lys964), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places C-Jun-amino-terminal kinase-interacting protein 4 in the cytoplasm and lysosome membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed only in testis on the round spermatids of stage I, II and II. Absent in spermatogonia and spermatocyte... The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
