Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes transcription factor JunB in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 35.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42–45 kDa.
JunB (JUNB) is a Jun family bZIP transcription factor that is rapidly induced by growth factors and other stimuli. It forms AP-1 complexes with Fos family proteins to bind TGA[GC]TCA sites and regulate target genes. JunB is studied in cell proliferation, immune cell differentiation and hematopoiesis, where it often acts differently from c-Jun.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human K562 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human A549 cells, human HT1080 cells, human A375 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human gall bladder adenosquamous carcinoma tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human pancreatic cancer tissue, human placenta tissue, human spleen tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): SiHa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): A431 cells.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human JUNB. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 88.9%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcription factor JunB in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
