Product Overview
Clone AFCE-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes cadherin-6 (gene CDH6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 88.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 130 kDa.
Cadherin-6 (K-cadherin, CDH6) is a classical cadherin that joins cells through calcium-dependent, mostly homophilic contacts, helping cells of the same type group together. It is expressed in the developing kidney and nervous system, and researchers study it in tissue morphogenesis and in kidney and ovarian tumor biology.
