Product Overview
Clone 23Z48 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transcriptional regulator Kaiso (gene ZBTB33) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 74.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
Kaiso (ZBTB33) is a BTB/POZ zinc finger transcription factor that binds both methylated CpG sequences and a non-methylated Kaiso binding site. It recruits the N-CoR corepressor complex to repress target genes and interacts with p120 catenin, linking cell adhesion signaling to gene regulation, and it is studied in epigenetics and Wnt signaling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human KAISO.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcriptional regulator Kaiso in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in vascular endothelium. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
