Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets A-type voltage-gated potassium channel KCND1 in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 71.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 71 kDa.
Kv4.1 (KCND1) is a Shal-type voltage-gated potassium channel that produces a fast-inactivating A-type current. In the brain, including neurons of the suprachiasmatic nucleus, it helps control repetitive firing and contributes to circadian patterns of neuronal activity. Its gating is modulated by accessory proteins such as KChIPs and DPP10.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): mouse brain tissue, HeLa cells, COLO320 cells, A549 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Recombinant human KCND1 fragment (Thr442–Leu647), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 90%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places A-type voltage-gated potassium channel KCND1 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
