Product Overview
Clone AIO-11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ER lumen protein-retaining receptor 1 (gene KDELR1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 24.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
KDEL receptor 1 (KDELR1) is a multi-pass membrane protein of the Golgi apparatus that recognizes the C-terminal KDEL-type signal carried by soluble endoplasmic reticulum proteins. When such proteins escape to the Golgi, KDELR1 binds them and returns them to the ER in COPI vesicles, helping to keep chaperones like BiP in the ER and maintain protein homeostasis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human liver tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
