Product Overview
Clone AEHB-11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes lysine-specific demethylase 4A (gene KDM4A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 120.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150 kDa.
KDM4A (JMJD2A) is a JmjC domain histone demethylase that uses Fe(II) and 2-oxoglutarate to remove trimethyl marks from histone H3 at Lys9 and Lys36. By altering these marks it affects heterochromatin, transcription and DNA replication timing, and it has been linked to genome instability. KDM4A is studied in epigenetics and as a potential cancer target.
