Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets fibroblast growth factor 7 (gene FGF7) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 22.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF7), also called keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), is produced by mesenchymal cells and acts on epithelial cells through FGFR2b. It stimulates the proliferation and repair of keratinocytes and other epithelia, and it is studied in wound healing, epithelial protection and branching morphogenesis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U2OS cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human KGF/FGF7 fragment (Arg54–Lys178), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes fibroblast growth factor 7 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Epithelial cell. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
