Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects far upstream element-binding protein 2 (gene KHSRP) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry, ELISA and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 73.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85–90 kDa.
KHSRP (also called FUBP2 or KSRP) is a single-stranded nucleic acid-binding protein with four KH domains. It promotes decay of mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements, helps process certain microRNA precursors, and influences alternative splicing, so it has a broad role in post-transcriptional control of gene expression, including genes involved in inflammation.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places far upstream element-binding protein 2 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in neural and non-neural cell lines. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
