Rabbit Monoclonal

Product Overview

Clone EAH-13 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes proliferation marker protein Ki-67 (gene MKI67) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 358.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 359 kDa.

Ki-67 (MKI67) is a large nuclear protein present in dividing cells but absent in resting (G0) cells. During mitosis it coats the chromosome surface and helps keep individual chromosomes separated, and because its expression tracks cell division, Ki-67 is one of the most widely used markers of cell proliferation.

Validated Applications

Western blot 1:500–1:2000
Immunohistochemistry 1:50–1:200
Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence 1:50–1:200
Flow cytometry 1:50

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Ramos cells.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human pituitary tumor tissue, human liver cancer tissue, human tonsil tissue, human esophageal carcinoma tissue.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human ki67.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places proliferation marker protein Ki-67 in the chromosome and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
