Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes krueppel-like factor 15 (gene KLF15) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 44.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 44 kDa.
KLF15 is a Krüppel-like zinc finger transcription factor expressed in heart, kidney, liver, muscle and fat. It limits cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis by restraining factors such as MEF2 and GATA4 and repressing CCN2 (CTGF), and it also regulates metabolic genes, including those for amino acid breakdown and glucose production. KLF15 is studied in cardiac, renal and metabolic research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat liver tissue, mouse liver tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human gall bladder adenosquamous carcinoma tissue, human gastric cancer tissue, mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue, rat lung tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).

Recombinant human KLF15 fragment (Met1–Cys323), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places krueppel-like factor 15 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in liver, skeletal muscle, and kidney. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
