Product Overview
Clone IDF-5 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes histone-lysine N-methyltransferase EZH2 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 85.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 98 kDa.
EZH2 is the main catalytic subunit of Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), which trimethylates histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27me3) to silence target genes. It controls cell identity in development and stem cells, is overexpressed or mutated in many cancers, and is a target of EZH2 inhibitors in cancer research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HEK293 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places histone-lysine N-methyltransferase EZH2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): In the ovary, expressed in primordial follicles and oocytes and also in external follicle cells (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
