Product Overview
Clone ABOI-12 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes lactotransferrin (gene LTF) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 78.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 78 kDa.
Lactoferrin (LTF) is an iron-binding glycoprotein of the transferrin family found in milk, tears, saliva and other secretions and in neutrophil granules. By tightly sequestering iron and by direct membrane-damaging effects it restricts bacterial growth, and it also influences immune cell activity and bone cell function, making it a common marker in studies of innate mucosal defense.
