Product Overview
Clone AODF-12 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes laminin subunit beta-1 (gene LAMB1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 198.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 250 kDa.
Laminin beta-1 (LAMB1) is the beta chain found in many laminin isoforms, including laminin-111 and laminin-511, and is widely present in basement membranes. Laminins organize cells into tissues by binding cell surface receptors and other matrix proteins. In the developing brain LAMB1 helps maintain the basement membrane that anchors radial glia, and its loss disrupts cortical layering.
