Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects laminin subunit gamma-1 (gene LAMC1) in rat, mouse and human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 177.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 150–200 kDa.
Laminin gamma-1 (LAMC1) is the gamma chain present in most laminin isoforms, including laminin-111 and laminin-511, and so is found in nearly all basement membranes. Laminins bind integrins and dystroglycan to support cell adhesion, migration and tissue architecture. LAMC1 is essential for basement membrane assembly in the early embryo and is a common marker in extracellular matrix research.

Validated Applications
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 0.5–1 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Rat, Mouse) |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat kidney tissue, rat lung tissue, U87 cells, SMMC cells, HeLa cells, SKOV1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human intestinal cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human laminin gamma 1. It differs from the mouse sequence at one residue.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with rat, mouse and human. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Found in the basement membranes (major component). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
