Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2 (gene LAMP2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 45.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100–110 kDa.
LAMP2 (CD107b) is a major glycoprotein of the lysosomal membrane that supports lysosome biogenesis, acidification and autophagy. The LAMP2A isoform acts as the receptor for chaperone-mediated autophagy, in which selected cytosolic proteins are unfolded and imported into the lysosome for degradation. LAMP2 deficiency causes Danon disease, and the protein is a common marker in autophagy and lysosome research.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U-87MG cells, human PC-3 cells, human 293T cells, human Jurkat cells, human HepG2 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LAMP2 fragment (Asp128–Phe410), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2 in the lysosome membrane, endosome membrane and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform LAMP-2A is highly expressed in placenta, lung and liver, less in kidney and pancreas, low in brain and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
