Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes lipid droplet-associated hydrolase (gene LDAH) in human, monkey, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 37.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
Lipid droplet-associated hydrolase (LDAH) is a serine hydrolase found on lipid droplets, with weak cholesterol esterase activity and no clear triglyceride lipase activity. It influences cellular lipid storage, favoring triglyceride accumulation partly by promoting the degradation of the lipase ATGL. LDAH is studied in lipid droplet biology and macrophage lipid handling.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human glioma tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human liver cancer tissue, rat alcoholic liver tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LDAH fragment (Glu7–Asp281), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, monkey, mouse and rat. UniProt places lipid droplet-associated hydrolase in the endoplasmic reticulum. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Present in macrophage-rich areas in atherosclerotic lesions (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
