Product Overview
Clone 24L15 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes left-right determination factor 2 (gene LEFTY2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 40.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 34.44 kDa.
Lefty2 is a secreted TGF-β superfamily protein that antagonizes Nodal signaling. In the embryo it is expressed on the left side and restricts Nodal activity, which is needed for proper left–right asymmetry of internal organs. Lefty2 is also expressed in the endometrium, where it is studied in relation to the menstrual cycle.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Caco2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human LEFTY1 + LEFTY2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes left-right determination factor 2 as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Mesenchymal cells of the endometrial stroma. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
