Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5 (gene LGR5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA.
LGR5 is a leucine-rich repeat G protein-coupled receptor that binds R-spondins and strengthens canonical Wnt signaling, largely by opposing the ubiquitin ligases RNF43 and ZNRF3 that remove Wnt receptors. It marks adult stem cells in the intestinal crypt, hair follicle, stomach and other tissues. LGR5 is a key marker in stem cell biology, organoid culture and colorectal cancer research.

Recombinant human LGR5 fragment (Arg26–Leu907), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 87% and 87.1%, respectively.

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in skeletal muscle, placenta, spinal cord, and various region of brain.
