Product Overview
Clone 23S61 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes lysosome membrane protein 2 (gene SCARB2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 54.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 77 kDa.
SCARB2 (also known as LIMP-2) is a lysosomal membrane protein that transports the enzyme glucocerebrosidase (GBA1) from the endoplasmic reticulum to lysosomes. It is studied in lysosomal storage disorders and Parkinson's disease research, and it also serves as a cellular receptor for enterovirus 71.
