Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes protein ERGIC-53 (gene LMAN1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for ELISA, ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 57.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.
ERGIC-53 (LMAN1) is a mannose-binding lectin that cycles between the endoplasmic reticulum, the ER–Golgi intermediate compartment and the Golgi. Together with MCFD2 it forms a cargo receptor that carries selected glycoproteins, including coagulation factors V and VIII, out of the ER. LMAN1 mutations cause combined factor V and VIII deficiency, and it is a common ERGIC marker.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): human placenta tissue, human ovarian cancer tissue.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LMAN1 fragment (Lys96–Met458), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein ERGIC-53 in the Golgi apparatus membrane and endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
