Product Overview

Clone AEBI-12 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes protein ERGIC-53 (gene LMAN1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 57.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 58 kDa.

ERGIC-53 (LMAN1) is a mannose-binding lectin that cycles between the endoplasmic reticulum, the ER–Golgi intermediate compartment and the Golgi. Together with MCFD2 it forms a cargo receptor that carries selected glycoproteins, including coagulation factors V and VIII, out of the ER. LMAN1 mutations cause combined factor V and VIII deficiency, and it is a common ERGIC marker.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places protein ERGIC-53 in the Golgi apparatus membrane and endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
