Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes rhombotin-1 (gene LMO1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 17.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 18 kDa.
LMO1 (rhombotin-1) is a LIM-only transcriptional cofactor that lacks a DNA-binding domain and instead bridges other transcription factors, such as TAL1 and LDB1, into regulatory complexes. It is expressed mainly in the developing nervous system, is activated by chromosomal translocations in some T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias, and is studied in neuroblastoma.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, NIH3T3 cells, HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human LMO1. It differs from the mouse sequence at two residues.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places rhombotin-1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed mainly in the central nervous. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
