Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects rhombotin-2 (gene LMO2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 18.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
LMO2 (rhombotin-2) is a LIM-only transcriptional cofactor that assembles a multiprotein complex with TAL1/SCL, GATA1 and LDB1. This complex is essential for the formation of blood stem cells and red blood cells, and it also plays a role in blood vessel development. Aberrant LMO2 expression drives some T-cell acute leukemias.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Raji cells, human 293T cells, human HEL cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed result (IP): K562 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LMO2 fragment (Ala4–Glu150), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 100%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places rhombotin-2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
