Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes leiomodin-3 (gene LMOD3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
Leiomodin-3 (LMOD3) is an actin-binding protein of skeletal muscle that promotes actin filament nucleation. It is needed for normal organization of the sarcomeric thin filaments, and LMOD3 mutations cause a severe form of nemaline myopathy. It is studied in muscle structure and myopathy research.

Immunogen
Recombinant human LMOD3 fragment (Asp45–Glu558), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 72.2%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places leiomodin-3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in cardiac and at higher levels in skeletal muscles (at protein level).
