Product Overview
Clone 20L24 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes loricrin in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 25.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
Loricrin is a major structural protein of the cornified cell envelope formed as keratinocytes terminally differentiate in the epidermis. Rich in glycine, serine and cysteine, it is cross-linked by transglutaminases into the insoluble envelope that underlies the skin barrier. Loricrin is widely used as a marker of late epidermal differentiation.
