Product Overview
Clone ADBD-12 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes lysyl oxidase homolog 2 (gene LOXL2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 86.7 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 53, 106 kDa.
Lysyl oxidase-like 2 (LOXL2) is a copper-dependent amine oxidase that cross-links collagen and elastin in the extracellular matrix. Inside the nucleus it can also oxidize trimethylated histone H3 lysine 4 and act as a transcriptional corepressor, including in epithelial–mesenchymal transition. LOXL2 is studied in fibrosis, tissue stiffness and tumor progression.
