Product Overview
Clone 25L70 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes lipoma-preferred partner (gene LPP) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 65.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
LPP (lipoma-preferred partner) is a LIM-domain protein of the zyxin family that localizes to focal adhesions and cell–cell contacts. It can shuttle to the nucleus and is thought to relay signals from adhesion sites to gene transcription. LPP was first identified as a fusion partner of HMGA2 in lipomas and is studied in cell adhesion and migration.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places lipoma-preferred partner in the nucleus, cytoplasm, cell junction and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in a wide variety of tissues but no or very low expression in brain and peripheral leukocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
