Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 59 (gene LRRC59) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 34.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
LRRC59 is a leucine-rich repeat protein anchored in the endoplasmic reticulum and nuclear envelope membranes. It is needed for fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF1), but not FGF2, to enter the nucleus, and may help carry cytosolic FGF1 to the nuclear pores and connect it with the nuclear import machinery.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LRRC59 fragment (Leu20–Gln307), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 59 in the microsome membrane, endoplasmic reticulum membrane and nucleus envelope. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
