Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects lipolysis-stimulated lipoprotein receptor (gene LSR) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 71.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
Lipolysis-stimulated lipoprotein receptor (LSR) is a transmembrane protein with two distinct roles. In the liver it binds triglyceride-rich lipoproteins such as chylomicron remnants, LDL and VLDL when free fatty acids are present and helps clear them from blood, while in epithelia it recruits tricellulin to tricellular tight junctions to keep the barrier sealed.

|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human Caco-2 cells, human RT4 cells, rat liver tissue, rat RH35 cells, mouse liver tissue, mouse HEPA1–6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse colon tissue, rat colon tissue, human breast cancer tissue, human liver cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human LSR fragment (Met1–Val649), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places lipolysis-stimulated lipoprotein receptor in the cell membrane and cell junction. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
