Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets leukotriene A-4 hydrolase (gene LTA4H) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 69.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 69 kDa.
Leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H) is a zinc-dependent enzyme with two activities. Its epoxide hydrolase activity converts leukotriene A4 into the neutrophil chemoattractant leukotriene B4, while its aminopeptidase activity breaks down the collagen-derived chemotactic peptide Pro-Gly-Pro, so it can both drive and limit inflammation and is studied in lipid mediator and inflammation research.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places leukotriene A-4 hydrolase in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are expressed in monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils, reticulocytes, platelets and fibroblasts. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
