Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects lymphotoxin-beta (gene Ltb) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 32.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 25 kDa.
In mouse, lymphotoxin-beta (Ltb) is a type II membrane protein of the TNF family. It anchors the lymphotoxin-alpha/beta heterotrimer to the cell surface, where the complex signals through the lymphotoxin-beta receptor; this pathway is needed to form lymph nodes and to organize B- and T-cell zones in secondary lymphoid tissues.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Mouse) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat PC-12 cells, mouse spleen tissue, mouse thymus tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): RAW264.7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Ltb fragment (Arg68–Gly306), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places lymphotoxin-beta in the membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
